Mom wrote a poem about Gina, after Gina put a statue of an angel in Mom's backyard.

That house is a treasure and I thank Gina for saving it! She has made it a beautiful place for the family to continue to come and visit our mother. And for Mom, Gina has enabled her to live in the house that she has called home for over 50 years.

To get away from some of those home responsibilities, Gina goes off to the shore. She is also drawn to the beach to spend time with Mary, our oldest sister, who has been living in Sea Bright, New Jersey for a number of years now.

Gina is a psychiatric nurse at St. Claire’s Hospital in Denville, New Jersey, and specializes in child crisis units. She is a natural with children, having endless patience. While most adults choose to stay comfortably stationary while children go outside to play, Gina is “up and at ‘em,” involved with the kids. Before becoming a nurse, Gina was a teacher in the Catholic school system in Newark, New Jersey.

She is also the primary organizer of our family gatherings each year at the Jersey Shore. That has been a Conlon tradition for 25 years.
