Liam SoPyung Yoo

The karate kid! 

Liam (10) is my sister Jean's only son and child.  Liam has two step-brothers, Sang Yoo's sons Eddy and Paul, who are much older than Liam.

My nephew Liam became a certified blackbelt at seven. I watched him break cement with his own bare hands!  Breaking cement was the final test that Liam had to pass in order to obtain his first degree blackbelt in Tae-Kwon-Do. He also had to break a wooden block with the force of a foot kick. Liam broke the wood on the first try! He's also the cutest nine year old I know!  Liam is Jean and Sang's son. He was born on April 9, 1997.

Recently (July 2006) Liam participated in the National Young Scholars Program, a week-long event held in Washington, D.C.  He's pictured in this streaming video.

Plus, go to a Quicktime movie that I created after Liam spent time fooling around with my new Apple computer.  I was visiting my sister at her home in West Caldwell, NJ and let Liam play with the computer some, while Jean and I talked.  He used the Photo Booth application to take pictures of himself and enjoyed himself immensely.  I enjoyed watching him immensely too.  During the time Liam was playing, the lights went out.  This quick time movie tells the story!
