Joseph Bartholomew Andrew Conlon

Joe

Joe is Virginia and James J. Conlon's fourth son and seventh child. He is my younger brother, directly following me in the chain of nine kids. I was real tough on Joe when we were children. I suppose I was jealous (at least, that's what the psychology books would most likely say), but perhaps Joe was an easy target. He was such a sensitive child, afraid of leaving Mom's side. Nonetheless, it was not his fault that I teased him so, and as an adult I feel bad that that happened.

Joe has been a high school teacher for most of his professional life, but recently decided to switch gears and become a school psychologist. He is currently a student at Marist College (Poughkeepsie, New York),  working toward that degree. He is expected to graduate in May 4, 2007 with a MA in School Psychology. Read his article "Teaching Cultural Understanding Through Stories" published in New York School Psychologist magazine, Fall 2006, Volume XXV number 1, publication of athe New York Association of School Psychologists.
